Aquia Harbour is the premier gated community of Stafford County, Virginia. We are located approximately 45 miles south of Washington DC, 15 miles north of Fredericksburg and 70 miles north of Richmond. The historic Aquia Creek runs through our community providing a year-round navigable waterway leading to the Potomac River and on to the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful woodlands surround our homes and give the community the feel of a delightful country setting. “The Harbour”, as we often refer to our community, encompasses over 2,000 acres including 400 acres of protected wetlands. Wildlife abounds; you can watch osprey fish the creek and see deer feeding in the surrounding forest. We are far enough away from the city to see a myriad of stars light the evening skies but close enough to be visiting the sites of Washington, DC in under an hour.

On Saturday, October 21, the AHPOA will be providing three trash dumpsters, one at Aquia Park (2200 block of Aquia Drive), Brent Park (by the tennis courts at the intersection of Washington Drive and Aquia Drive) and Friendship Park (3rd Section), for use by residents only.

When the dumpsters become full, we ask that you do not leave your items on the ground next to the dumpsters.

Hazardous waste of any type must not be placed in these dumpsters. Household hazardous waste may be taken to Aquia Park from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 28, or to the Fredericksburg City Shop Parking Lot at 1000 Tyler Street until 3:00 p.m. on the same day - http://r-board.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/fall-2017-HHW-flyer.pdf

Heads up. We have political solicitors in the Harbour and you can probably expect to encounter them with regularity over the next two weeks. Political solicitors are an EXEMPTION from the solicitation code and are required to be sponsored by a resident to be granted access.

Please remember, most are young volunteers trying to making a contribution to the democratic process and they are not violating our rules.
