Aquia Harbour is the premier gated community of Stafford County, Virginia. We are located approximately 45 miles south of Washington DC, 15 miles north of Fredericksburg and 70 miles north of Richmond. The historic Aquia Creek runs through our community providing a year-round navigable waterway leading to the Potomac River and on to the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful woodlands surround our homes and give the community the feel of a delightful country setting. “The Harbour”, as we often refer to our community, encompasses over 2,000 acres including 400 acres of protected wetlands. Wildlife abounds; you can watch osprey fish the creek and see deer feeding in the surrounding forest. We are far enough away from the city to see a myriad of stars light the evening skies but close enough to be visiting the sites of Washington, DC in under an hour.

Board Meeting
March 27, 2019

Open 30: One speaker - talked about the need to get enforcement going again at the gate and stop waiting for the construction to be completed.

Legislative Report: Griffis-Widewater Supervisor Jack Cavalier said the County budget hearings have begun and the budget is slated for a vote on 4/16/19. He expressed regret at the School Board’s decision to send AH elementary school kids to Hampton Oaks next year and reminded us that the end of the 60-day delay on the ATC tax-incentives vote is next month and he is hoping they will stay in place to provide the best opportunity for a build to take hold. Delegate Bob Thomas talked about what’s going on in Richmond including passing tax reform and an increase for teacher salaries. He too supports honoring the tax incentives for the Aquia Town Center.

Director Comments: Thank you to Jack Cavalier and Paul Milde who worked to support keeping AH kids at Moncure, an appreciation for...
