Aquia Harbour is the premier gated community of Stafford County, Virginia. We are located approximately 45 miles south of Washington DC, 15 miles north of Fredericksburg and 70 miles north of Richmond. The historic Aquia Creek runs through our community providing a year-round navigable waterway leading to the Potomac River and on to the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful woodlands surround our homes and give the community the feel of a delightful country setting. “The Harbour”, as we often refer to our community, encompasses over 2,000 acres including 400 acres of protected wetlands. Wildlife abounds; you can watch osprey fish the creek and see deer feeding in the surrounding forest. We are far enough away from the city to see a myriad of stars light the evening skies but close enough to be visiting the sites of Washington, DC in under an hour.

AHPOA BOARD OF DIRECTORS UNANIMOUSLY APPROVE FY19 BUDGET & $5 A-MONTH DUES INCREASE

Legislative Report – Aquia District Supervisor Cindy Shelton was in attendance and is working to bring the Aquia Town Center matter to the full Stafford BOS to determine if there is anything that can legally be done to address the condition of the lot.

Open 30 – Three residents spoke; Additional parking for PD unnecessary, electronic votes should only be used for emergency situations and doesn’t think AHPOA should record meetings. Cautioned Board regarding oppressive behavior and pitting people against each other, waste, encouraged to use the Finance Committee and read from the covenants. Finance Committee’s job is concluded and Board needs to move forward with their responsibility.

The business office will be closed until 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, and on Friday, January 26, for training. Payments and correspondence can be deposited in the lock box to the left of the office door while the office is closed.

At long last.... PROGRESS

FRONT GATE

Monday 1/15 and Tuesday 1/16 the Chief and the contractor will be running final testing on the Front Gate RFID system so we can activate the red light.

Here is what we need from you:

If you have not put your RFID decal on please do this weekend. INSIDE your windshield, below the tint, in the middle of the passenger windshield. See attached photo.

If you have your RFID decal on and it is all the way to right of the passenger windshield (where there first told us to put it!) or under the tint (where they said it would still read!) please move it to match the attached photo. INSIDE your windshield, below the tint, in the middle of the passenger windshield.

Please do not exceed 25MPH when passing the gate

Please to not tailgate as you pass the gate

Please be patient as we get through this final testing phase as traffic is likely to back up.
