Aquia Harbour is the premier gated community of Stafford County, Virginia. We are located approximately 45 miles south of Washington DC, 15 miles north of Fredericksburg and 70 miles north of Richmond. The historic Aquia Creek runs through our community providing a year-round navigable waterway leading to the Potomac River and on to the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful woodlands surround our homes and give the community the feel of a delightful country setting. “The Harbour”, as we often refer to our community, encompasses over 2,000 acres including 400 acres of protected wetlands. Wildlife abounds; you can watch osprey fish the creek and see deer feeding in the surrounding forest. We are far enough away from the city to see a myriad of stars light the evening skies but close enough to be visiting the sites of Washington, DC in under an hour.

Waste Management has recently informed us that because of the amount of yard waste being generated in Aquia Harbour, it has reversed its previous decision to suspend the Wednesday yard waste collection. So, until further notice, Waste Management customers can continue to put out bags of leaves and tied bundles of tree limbs by the curb for pick up on Wednesday.

Household trash collection continues to be on Mondays and Thursdays (no pick up on Christmas Day and New Years Day and no make up days either).

After Christmas, Christmas trees will be collected with the yard waste on Wednesdays. Trees need to be clear of any decorations, stands and screws and should be cut in to 3; sections.

hlp The Aquia Harbour Police is in possession of numerous bicycles that have been found abandoned inside the Harbour over an undetermined period of time. If you are missing a bicycle please check this list and call with a further description of your missing bicycle to see if one of these might be yours. None of the bicycle VIN’s have been listed as stolen. After December 31st any unclaimed bikes will be donated to the Stafford County Juvenile Probation Office as they have expressed an interest in redistribution to deserving families.
