Aquia Harbour is the premier gated community of Stafford County, Virginia. We are located approximately 45 miles south of Washington DC, 15 miles north of Fredericksburg and 70 miles north of Richmond. The historic Aquia Creek runs through our community providing a year-round navigable waterway leading to the Potomac River and on to the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful woodlands surround our homes and give the community the feel of a delightful country setting. “The Harbour”, as we often refer to our community, encompasses over 2,000 acres including 400 acres of protected wetlands. Wildlife abounds; you can watch osprey fish the creek and see deer feeding in the surrounding forest. We are far enough away from the city to see a myriad of stars light the evening skies but close enough to be visiting the sites of Washington, DC in under an hour.

Please take a few minutes and read the update on www.aquiaharbour.org regarding the upcoming public hearing on the rezoning request submitted by Ramco Gershenson for Aquia Towne Center (to be called The Town Center at Aquia). The redevelopment is significant to Aquia Harbour residents due to the long anticipated renovation of the center and the impact that redevelopment will have on entering/exiting Aquia Harbour.

We (with the help of several people) have the new Aquia Harbour Radio station up and running. Currently there is a welcome message from our own David Humphrey. In the very near future the radio will be used to update residents on;

Office Announcements
Harbour Events
Amenity and Civic Group Announcements
Alerts and Warnings (weather, power outages, etc...)

Tune to 1670AM on your car radio (set one of your presets for easy access) to hear the broadcast. The range of the broadcast will vary on the time of day/night, the weather etc... Overall coverage is much better than expected as we initially were expecting the coverage to be from Rt. 1 and Washington to a little past Washington and Richmond.

Hopefully you will all find this a useful tool and a safer alternative to the current sign that is utilized.

I want to especially thank David Humphrey for his hard work and dedication to this project. Also, without resident Sonny Mikeals knowledge and help I seriously doubt we...
