Aquia Harbour is the premier gated community of Stafford County, Virginia. We are located approximately 45 miles south of Washington DC, 15 miles north of Fredericksburg and 70 miles north of Richmond. The historic Aquia Creek runs through our community providing a year-round navigable waterway leading to the Potomac River and on to the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful woodlands surround our homes and give the community the feel of a delightful country setting. “The Harbour”, as we often refer to our community, encompasses over 2,000 acres including 400 acres of protected wetlands. Wildlife abounds; you can watch osprey fish the creek and see deer feeding in the surrounding forest. We are far enough away from the city to see a myriad of stars light the evening skies but close enough to be visiting the sites of Washington, DC in under an hour.

Paving will cease at 3pm today. We're almost there folks. I know its been a pain but we're almost there. Washington Drive from JPJ to Aquia near the tennis courts is the last leg. Milling is almost complete and paving will start tomorrow and includes the front area of the businesses office but we are open. Access to the preschool and business office parking lot is available but limited and there will be delays. The compaction reports from our engineer have been spot on.... Gator has done a fantastic job and the stripers (one P) are on standby so we can get this first year of paving behind us.

Residents have been incredibly kind and patient during this process and it has not gone unnoticed. Thank you so much. If you haven't seen the newly paved areas check out Harpoon, Cape Cod and Pinta. It really enhances the beauty of the neighborhood.

Tonight's the night! 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm throughout the community. Residents who would like trick or treaters to come to their house should leave their porch lights on and those who do not should turn their porch lights off.

Please make sure your tots have on reflective clothing and stick to the Coves and side streets as best you can. I'll be out with the PD who will be running radar and handing out safety lights.
See you tonight!
