Aquia Harbour USMC Association

The Aquia Harbour United States Marine Corps Association, or AHUSMCA, is an association of a few dedicated military officers, including retired, active duty, friends, and their families. It is an independent, nonprofit, and politically nonpartisan organization. AHUSMCA's mission is to maintain the Corps’ annual birthday tradition and preserve the rich history of the United States Marine Corps. For over 40 years, Marines of all ranks in the Aquia Harbour and Stafford communities have held a Marine Corps Birthday Ball. Members of other military Services and civilian friends have joined in this celebration.

Membership is open to retired, active duty, National Guard, Reserve, former Commissioned, Non-Commissioned, Warrant Officers, and Enlisted Members of the uniformed Services and friends that want to follow the original Marine Association to “foster the spirit and preserve the traditions of the United States Marine Corps and to further the history of the military Services in all ways not inconsistent with the good order of the government.” Association members have no thought of any direct personal reward or material gain for themselves or for the Association.

Headquartered in Stafford, Virginia, the AHUSMCA is governed by a Committee of fourteen core participants. It consists of a Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and Members that vote by majority consensus to make all decisions.
