Aquia Harbour

Aquia Harbour is the premier gated community of Stafford County, Virginia. We are located approximately 45 miles south of Washington DC, 15 miles north of Fredericksburg and 70 miles north of Richmond. The historic Aquia Creek runs through our community providing a year-round navigable waterway leading to the Potomac River and on to the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful woodlands surround our homes and give the community the feel of a delightful country setting. “The Harbour”, as we often refer to our community, encompasses over 2,000 acres including 400 acres of protected wetlands. Wildlife abounds; you can watch osprey fish the creek and see deer feeding in the surrounding forest. We are far enough away from the city to see a myriad of stars light the evening skies but close enough to be visiting the sites of Washington, DC in under an hour.

Hi Harbour!

I have been trying to decide how best to share the business of the AHPOA in a direct and efficient manner to keep you in the loop and combat the endless stream of inaccurate and agenda driven misinformation on social media without adding to the noise in your life. You did your part when you voted. It is job of the GM, staff and elected representatives to do the best job we can conduct the business of the HOA while you go on about your life. That is our system of local government and it is completely appropriate and transparent.

This is not to say that your input is not welcome or important or that we should not respond to questioning, but the public shaming that goes on in social media about people not attending Board meetings is inappropriate. I love resident involvement! I love any chance I get to see you guys. As residents, you participate in the business of the HOA through your vote, your service on a committee/Board if you have the time, your attendance at community...
