    GM Notes – Details

Online Gift Shop – GM is in talks with a company to create an online Aquia Harbour gift shop to celebrate community pride / 50th anniversary. Hats, sweatshirts, cups etc. No cost to AH and proceeds would come back to the community.

Pre-School Sidewalk – A sidewalk was added to connect the preschool to the new fence at Peace Park. It makes the park entrance wheel chair accessible.

Drug Addiction & Mental Health Seminar Saturday May 19th 10am

Test America Creek Testing / Phosphates & Nitrogen – This is related to dredging. If we can identify the rate of removal during dredging of these two chemicals we may be able to get some funding assistance.

Pools – The Pools are just about ready and the Chief and GM had a good meeting/talk with the new manager and the lifeguards earlier today.

Golf Course – Foot Golf Grand Opening June 30th – Stafford is very excited about having a foot golf program in the county and is providing funds for the grand opening.

RFID / Hotsticks – Working. Next is the movement of the reader. Reads are way up. We still about 200 vehicles that have decals that are not reading. These folks need to move the decal or bring it to the office to have it tested and/or replaced.

Reserve Study Bid (V) – Bids are in. The Directors have 3 proposals to choose from and have asked for a Level 1 bid from one of the current bidders.

Committee Appointments (V) – Beautification & Nominating Committee appointments will be made at the
    Regular Board Meeting.

Front Entrance Bids / Due May 29th (V) – The RFP went out this month regarding extending the visitor lane all the way to the Town Center entrance. A spec meeting will take place on May 21st with bids to follow.
A Special meeting will be set up to select contractor. This is the improvement that the Fire Department land sale funds are slated for to eliminate the visitor lane backing up and bocking the resident lane.

Peace Park Playground Equipment (V) – The Directors were not comfortable discussint he Peace Park equipment improvements until we have a price on the front entrance redesign, in case it exceeds the land sale funds.

Click Pay / Monthly Billing (V) – Online payments will be accepted starting in June. We will also be going to monthly rather than quarterly billing. The late fee will be adjusted to reflect monthly vs. quarterly and the 10th of the month will be the last day of the month, monthly dues can be paid without penalty. Residents will receive instructions.

Nominating Committee – Short one volunteer. Several people have stepped up. The Board will make a selection at the regular Board Meeting.

June Board Meeting – Swim Team Meet will relocate JUNE Board Meeting to the conference room. Next year, the swim team has pledged to avoid this conflict. The conference room at the business office has a capacity of 48 and is expected to be sufficient for the JUNE 27 Board Meeting.

Executive Session – No executive session occurred. The GM had two individual member issues she wanted to discuss with the Directors but they elected to take it up at the regular board meeting.

Tablets – Discussion about going digital for Directors. The Directors discussed tablets but in the end decided to use their personal devices to TEST the June Board packets electronically.
