Happy Friday the 13th Aquia Harbour!
From the Stafford Situational Briefing Room: A threat through early Sunday morning of a light Wintery mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain.
Expected to start late Friday evening (after 9pm) and continue off and on Saturday and possibly into Sunday morning.
Any accumulation of frozen precipitation can make travel hazardous. Even small amounts of frozen precipitation falling on sub-freezing road surfaces can cause traffic accidents and or long stressful commutes. Hazardous road conditions are possible late Friday evening, all day Saturday and possibly into Sunday morning.
Here in Aquia Harbour, as promised the spot pre-treatment pilot program is up and running thanks to Ray and Glen and these historically hazardous sites will be pre-treated after rush hour tonight. Additionally, the ice melting compound mixed with our sand has been increased and Wes and his crew are loaded up and will be ready to go when called. Ice events are always a nightmare, so please pay attention to road condition posts and of course if you can stay home for the worst of it please do.
Safe weekend everyone.
