Mon 4am. It's bad out there. We already have 5" + and it's suppose to snow all morning. Our plows have been at it all night but the snow is outpacing the plows and at 20 degrees the layer left is all ice.

We are definitely in 4WD territory today and even that isn't going to help you much if you go over 20mph. Roads outside the Harbour are at a crawl but no accidents being reported in the Harbour or Stafford - mostly due to very minimal traffic.

These conditions are only expected to worsen as the day goes on but we will keep you advised of accidents. Please stay home if you have that option.

11:40a Monday Still snowing and road conditions continue to deteriorate. Several vehicles in ditches now and the 2070 blk Aquia between Dewey & Harpoon is getting close to impassable.
Please do not come out unless you are essential personnel and in a low speed 4WD and definitely don’t permit young drivers out in this. If you stay put, then public safety personnel and volunteers get to stay put too.

    We sure would appreciate it.
