General Manager

Patricia Harman grew up in Stafford County not far from Aquia Harbour. She retired as a Master Detective with 30 years of service from the Prince William County Police before accepting the position as the Aquia Harbour Police Chief in 2008. In 2017 she was offered and accepted the General Manager position. She is Board Certified C.M.C.A (Certified Manager of Community Associations) and lives in Old Town Fredericksburg. In her spare-time she enjoys travel (mostly cruises), writing crime fiction, a large local extended family and the Breakfast Club, a group of retired detectives that meets once a week for breakfast for the last 13 years.  703-407-6106

Board Secretary

Katherine Shaw has worked in the Aquia Harbour business office for just over 20 years and has been a Virginia resident since 1996. She stays busy in her spare time enjoying both indoor and outdoor activities, being a member of a number of organizations and spending time with family and friends.

Office & Finance Manager

Kelly Chapman is originally from Oregon and has lived in Stafford for the past 16 + years. She began working in the Aquia Harbour Business Office as the Member Services Clerk in 2009. In 2010, she transitioned to Accounts Payable. When the previous O/F Manager retired in August of 2014, Ms. Chapman applied and was selected for the Office/Finance Manager position. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing puzzles and raising awareness for breast cancer through participation in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk.

Police Chief

Nate Thompson was raised in the Stafford/Falmouth area where his family goes back many generations. He joined the Stafford Sheriff’s Office in 2004 where he served until 2009 when he accepted the Assistant Police Chief position at Aquia Harbour. He accepted the position of Police Chief in 2017. He and his wife are raising two young sons at a family farm. In his spare-time he also enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking and is a well-known local bee keeper.  540-907-9442

Golf Course Superintendent

John Weigand – Mr. Weigand (pronounced WY-gand) grew up in Leonardtown Maryland. He is a veteran of the armed services, began his golf course management career in 2008 and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He uses yoga to stay fit for the physically demanding job of Golf Course Superintendent and spends his spare time enjoying music and time with his Border Collie, Chase.

Pro-shop/Golf Manager

Jim Burns, PGA – Jim is originally from Brookline, Massachusetts and now lives in Stafford. He was a four-sport athlete in high school and played two sports at Williams College. A long coaching career in football (high school, junior college and college) as well as a high school track and field where as head coach won state honors in Massachusetts in 1982 as Coach of the Year. Has been involved in golf since the 1980’s and turned Professional in 1990. Jim has been affiliated with clubs in Boston, Cape Cod and Florida before moving to Virginia. Since arriving in Virginia Jim has been the golf professional at Virginia National Golf Club, Cannon Ridge Golf Club and South Riding Golf Club. After 10 years of owning and operating The Stafford Golf Academy Jim has made the move to Aquia Harbour where he just celebrated his admission into the PGA Quarter Century Club.

Marina Manager

Glen Sirbaugh has been a resident of Aquia Harbour since 1991. Glen is a lifetime Virginian and has run the Marina since 2011 when the new Marina was opened. Glenn is a boater himself and spends his spare time on the water every chance he gets.

Stables Manager

Maddy Adams was born and raised in California. She found her way to the east coast in her early 20s and moved to Virginia last year. Her passion for horses grew from the time she was a young girl and wanted to be a “cowgirl.”  She joined Aquia Harbour Stables in 2019 and looks forward to an exciting future for our tenants, horses and trainors.

Road & Grounds Foreman

Wes Riley was born and raised in Stafford and has worked in Aquia Harbour for 44 years maintaining roads and grounds. He has seen much growth and development over the years.

Maintenance Supervisor

Ray Parsons and his family have lived in Aquia Harbour since 1987.  He began working with the Harbour in 2002.  Ray hails from Boness, Scotland and lived all over the world working as a coal and gold miner prior to landing in Stafford County.  He is a jack of all trades and a master of all!

Code Violation Officer

John Frank grew up in California and Washington State. He spent 4 years in the USMC in Security Forces/infantry/scout swimmer, and has been married for 26 years to an outstanding lady. Mr. Frank moved to Northern Virginia in 1992 and Aquia Harbour in 2014 where he will reside until he gets a toe-tag. He is the current Fleet Captain for the Aquia Harbour Yacht Club and enjoys boating and cooking with antique cast iron in his off hours.
