Another week behind we us and that means one less week of quarantine in front of us. Here’s what’s happening in the Harbour;
BANNER – Thank you to Tina Mims https://www.yelp.com/biz/sun-signs-stafford for the banner of encouragement she donated. Ray will install it at the front of the community tomorrow.
CLUBHOUSE RESTAURANT – Order your Easter Dinner today! bit.ly/CHEaster2Go If you get an auto message "We missed your order" ~ Don't worry - they can see it and will call when they are open the following day. Thank you George and team!
BUSINESS OFFICE – The office continues to work remotely and is providing ALL services with the exception of RFID decals. Dues can be handled by Click Pay, paying over the phone - email: firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a phone call if you'd like to pay by credit card over the phone. We also have the night drop box in front of the office. Friday is a holiday for Aquia Harbour non-essential employees, but remote services will recommence on Monday April 13th.
PUBLIC SAFETY – Public Safety staff remains at a 100%. We are grateful for their service. Please keep a good thought for these folks and their families.
GOLF COURSE – The golf course is open Friday through Monday weekly. Tee times and payments will be accepted by phone at 540-659-4478. Carts have been cleaned and disinfected and will be cleaned between uses. One person to a cart unless you are from the same household. The Pro Shop will remain closed. Social distancing will be a requirement.
BARN - The barn is closed to everyone except tenants and staff and of course, horses!)
PLAYGROUNDS – Playgrounds and basketball courts are closed. Parks, including the dog park, trails and tennis courts are open. Social distancing required. There has been a little mischief at the playgrounds, please have "the talk" with you’re kids. I can't imagine how frustrated they are but please remind them this is a temporary situation and the playgrounds and basketball courts will be reopened just as soon as we can.
PANTRY – The food pantry at the Harbour Inn meets is open from 9a-5p daily. If you have items to share, thank you for your generosity. If you are an Aquia Harbour resident and need something from the pantry, come and get it, just be sure to sanitize your hands before and after and wipe down the items when you get home and please turn out the lights when you leave.
DONATIONS – Pay Pal HEC.email@example.com The Harbour Events Club will be the collection point for monetary donations to help Aquia Harbour residents affected by the COVID19 health crisis. Those in need should send an email to HEC.TRT@yahoo.com to request assistance. Those who wish to donate can go to Pay Pal and “send money” to HEC.firstname.lastname@example.org. This fund will mostly be used for our volunteers to purchase groceries for those in need. Any funds remaining at the end of this, will stay with the Harbour Events Club (HEC) and will go to fund neighborhood events and activities. Thank you for your generosity and thank you HEC.
MARINA – The Marina is open – use launch ramp at will. The Marina Office is open on Saturday and Sunday. One person at a time in the ship store. Have a Marina question? You can reach Glenn at 703-409-4978

PHONE A FRIEND – We have residents and staff who have volunteered to receive calls from anyone who is struggling. Long term isolation and a global pandemic can impact the most stoic among us. These folks are not mental health professionals, just people willing to listen, but they’re here for you. AHPOA@aquiaharbour.org. There are also numerous mental health/support services online like https://www.betterhelp.com/
OLDER RESIDENTS – I have heard from so many of our older residents who are reporting that their neighbors have been staying in touch to make sure they are okay. THANK YOU so much to all who are doing that. Some folks don’t have computers and don’t get these updates so please keep them up to date as you can.

Advice from resident: Yes, coffee filters can be used as toilet paper. However, it will change the taste of your coffee. Thanks for the laughs Chuck. Much appreciated.
Be well all. Stay strong. #Harbourstrong
