    Primary Election – The Va. Primary Elections will take place on Tuesday June 23rd at the Harbour Inn and Country Club. (The food pantry will close at noon on Monday June 22nd and reopen Wed morning June 24th at 9am).

    New Golf Superintendent – Welcome John Weigand! John grew up in Leonardtown Maryland. He is a veteran of the armed services, began his golf course management career in 2008 and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He uses yoga to stay fit for the physically demanding job of Golf Course Superintendent and spends his spare time enjoying music and time with his Border Collie, Chase. AHGCS@aquiaharbour.org

    Phase II – We are still in Va. Phase II. ALL amenities are operating though remote services are being offered where feasible (office & proshop). Pool service has been expanded to 50 people and the deep end of the Harbour Inn pool is now open for reservations of up to 3, with 6 lanes available at each pool 12 hours a day from 10 to 10, 7 days a week. https://www.signupgenius.com/tabs/83c72dc0eafcbecc71-poolups

    Front Area Improvements – The Beautification Committee has worked with our contractor to update the front gate flower beds which will happen next week. Front wall improvements will commence in the Fall. This is being funded out of the RECYCLE FUND.

    Oktoberfest- HEC and Staff are in preplanning for Oktoberfest on Saturday September 26th at Lions Park. Our average attendance is 800-1000 so our ability to execute this event will remain contingent on State Guidelines but we have our collective fingers crossed. Want to help out with this event?     WEBSITE – The new website is really coming along. The directors were treated to a preview and we hope to be launching it very soon.


    Audit – Director Collins updated the Board on the remote audit process underway.

    RFID – The Chief reported on the intermittent testing of the ARM. The results have been encouraging and intermittent testing will continue. If you need a new RFID decal. Residents needing replacement decals can drop a copy of your vehicle registration, your contact information and a check for $15 per decal in the office drop box or mail to 1221 Washington. Your decal will be processed and delivered to the PD on Fridays where you can pick it up.

    Bridle Path – Volunteers will be working to clear a section of the Bridle Path along Boson Cove. Next Wednesday the 24th 1000-1400 Meet on Bosun Cove near house #220, parking on the street please. Water will be provided, bring your own equipment, gloves, and snacks.

    Trails – Discussion on extending the walking path from Aquia Park to the Golf Course path and the use of millings during paving operations.
